Is It Really That Important?

T.L.C.                No, of that I am well aware. If we’re complete with “The New Thought Movement.” I have a new and unrelated question.

Big D     I’m done, and that question is…? 

T.L.C.                At our last meeting, you suggested I spend some time looking at my life and answering the questions: “What‘s important to me? and “Why do I consider it so important?”[1]

Big D     Did you do it?

T.L.C.                Yes.

Big D     With what results?

T.L.C.                Several times I sat quietly and asked those questions.   What first occurred to me were Jefferson’s words from the American Constitution which we talked about earlier.[2]

...We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

         I thought of “Life” as physical survival and fulfilling the basic needs to sustain life.   I thought of “Liberty” as freedom to be whomever I choose to be and do whatever I’d like to do and, “Happiness” as seeking joy, comfort, and pleasure.

         Then I thought about a purpose and a meaning for my life, and I concluded that a lot of the things I do are free and fun, but in terms of their adding meaning and purpose to my life, they seem to be rather meaningless.

         So then I started thinking about your statements regarding my being an eternal being temporarily living in a human body.   That brought me beyond the mundane thoughts about food and sex, and triggered a whole raft of possibilities.   That started to get me excited, and it took me a few moments to figure out why.

Big D     And what did you come up with? 

T.L.C.                Infinite possibilities.

Big D     What does that mean to you?

T.L.C.                It means that if I actually am an eternal being, and if I really do create my personal reality by my thoughts, then I can create my life any way I choose.   Then I remembered the words of an Eastern Swami I interviewed a few years ago.   He said, “My purpose in life is to express Divinity while living in a physical body.[3]

Big D     Did you ask him how to do that?

T.L.C.                Yes. 

Big D     What did he tell you?

T.L.C.                He said let me tell you a little story, and then asked, “What does a nine-hundred-pound grizzly bear do?   Where does he walk?   Where does he sleep? When I didn’t answer, he laughed and said, “He does anything he chooses.   He walks and sleeps anywhere he wants to.”

Big D     And what did that story tell you?

T.L.C.                That I am a free agent.   I can be, do, have, express, and experience anything I choose.

Big D     We already arrived at that point, so what’s the next step?

T.L.C.                To figure out what brings me great joy, complete freedom, and honors and respects everyone and everything else at the same time — to figure out what I can do to bring an awareness of their Divinity in every other being on the planet.

Big D     And in your own personal life, how does that manifest?

T.L.C.                By writing the stories I write;  by writing about our interviews;  by living the Universal Law of allowing;  by being a living role model of a human with the Christ-Light in his heart.[4]

Big D     And does that include forcing unwilling women to become mothers of unwanted children?

T.L.C.                I won’t even dignify that question with an answer.

Big D     Did you notice the experiences in your daily activities that you responded to with strong emotion?

T.L.C.                Yes.

Big D     And what did you find?

T.L.C.                That I was very emotional about a lot of absolutely meaningless events.

Big D     And what did that tell you?

T.L.C.                If I get emotional and bitch, moan and complain about mundane trivia, “The Universe” is going to present me with more to bitch, moan and complain about. 

Big D     What kinds of things were you getting emotional about?

T.L.C.                I dropped the soap in the shower.   An idiot pulled right in front of me on the freeway.   My neighbor was playing loud music.   I didn’t like what some politician said on TV.

Big D     When you became aware of yourself getting emotional about these things, did you realize anything?

T.L.C.                I realized that thinking about these things with emotion, sends a message to “The Universe” saying, “Send me more carelessness, more idiots, more loud neighbors, and more stupid politicians.”

Big D     And what’s on the opposite end of that pole?

T.L.C.                By focusing on Love, Joy, and Freedom, I can, if I apply tenacity and patience, transform my life into heaven on Earth.

Big D     And in the areas of health, relationships, home-life, career, financial abundance, a sense of self worth, a sense of self-satisfaction, and a sense of fulfilling a meaningful purpose in your life, how have you decided to live?

T.L.C.                I haven’t.

Big D     So how about continuing this process by doing so?

T.L.C.                I’ll do that.

Big D     Let’s take one area and I’ll give you a few hints.   Pick one.

T.L.C.                OK. Please tell me about relationships.

Big D     Do you recall my telling you about how to know someone’s basic character?[5]

T.L.C.                “By their fruits you shall know them.”

Big D     Here’s another way to say that. “Whatever you see a person doing to someone else, sooner or later, given the means, motive and the opportunity, they will be doing the same thing to you.”

T.L.C.                So if I befriend a skunk, sooner of later, I’m going to stink.

Big D     Most probably, unless, of course, you’re already a stinking skunk.

T.L.C.                I remember an ancient Sufi teaching that says, “If you make friends with an elephant keeper, make room for his elephants.”

Big D     A valid axiom for relationships.

T.L.C.                I haven’t been very good at relationships because they’re extremely challenging.

Big D     And also extremely rewarding.   This topic is far too complicated to go into here, so hold the vision of someone coming into your life who will teach you about relationships.   Declare it to be so.   Believe it, expect it, and look for it at every opportunity and soon it will manifest.

I actually followed Big “D’s” advice and, much to my amazement, that’s exactly what happened.   Approximately three months after this interview, I met a delightful woman who has taught me so much about relationships, that I have actually written a novel describing our relationship.   The book is titled A Blissful Yoni Dance, and is available on the Internet at <http://www.yonidance.net>.

Chief Seattle

Big D     Stoney, if we are complete with relationships, may I show you a picture?

T.L.C.                Yes, please.

Reaching into the air over his head, Big D manifested what looked like a carved, crystal about seven inches in diameter.   As he pulled it down in front of him, I could see that it gently glowed with a blue-white light.

Big D     You’ll need to hold this crystal and close your eyes.

To my amazement, the crystal rose from his hand, floated right over to me, and stopped about twelve inches in front of my chest.   I looked at it but did not touch it.   The crystal looked like two, four-sided pyramids that interpenetrated each other, one pointing upward and the other pointing down.

Big D     Go ahead take it in your hands.   It won’t hurt you.

T.L.C.                How can I believe that?   You’re a self-confessed liar and con artist.

Big D     Then trust yourself.   Use the kenesiology test I just taught you.[6]   Hook your fingers together and ask, “Is this good for me?”

I did the test and the energy was strong indicating a “yes” answer.

Big D     Now do the test again.   This time ask, “Is it safe for me to touch the crystal that’s here in front of me?”

Again, I did the test and the energy was again strong indicating another “yes” answer.

Big D     Now how do you feel about touching the crystal.

T.L.C.                It feels OK.

Big D     Then what’s your choice?

Without verbally answering, I reached out and took the crystal in both hands and closed my eyes.   Almost immediately I begin to feel light, as if I too were floating.

Big D     Go with the feeling.   You are completely in control, and you can stop this vision at any time simply by opening your eyes and letting go of the crystal.   But, don’t take my word for it, test it for yourself.   Open your eyes and let go of the crystal.

I did so, and the feelings immediately stopped.

Big D     Are you ready for the vision?

T.L.C.                Yes.

Big D     Then take the crystal into your hands again and close your eyes.   Also, remember the breath.

I took a deep breath, reached out, took the crystal in my hands, and closed my eyes.   I was soon floating as if I were under the influence of LSD, or the sacred magic mushrooms that the southwestern Native Americans use in their religious rituals.   I felt myself rising as if I were weightless, and then I felt myself moving.   The rush of air felt cool as it flowed over my face, and my ears heard the gentle sound of the air passing over them.   The sensations were extremely pleasant.

After I know not how long, I found myself standing at the base of several large trees.   I looked up and recognized them as majestic redwoods.   I looked out onto a beautiful river scene with a waterfall, and meadow close by, more large redwood trees across the river, and snow capped mountaintops in the distant background.   The scene was capped by a deep blue sky with beautiful, billowing, white clouds.   One of the clouds had an uncanny resemblance to something familiar, but, even now, I still don’t know what that something was.   The beauty was awesome.   I was about to move toward the river when I heard a voice to my right.

C. S.                Welcome Stoney Tonto.

I turn to see a Native American Indian chief in full ceremonial dress standing five feet away.   He is smiling and holding his hands out in a welcoming gesture.   Although, I’m taken aback in surprise, I recover almost instantly.

T.L.C.                Oh! thank you.   May I ask where I am, and who you are?

C. S.    You are in the place where dreams are made.   And, in Earth Life I was Know as Chief Seattle.   Welcome to one of God’s gardens.

T.L.C.                Is this the Garden of Eden?

C. S.    Yes, but what you see is only one very small piece of that garden.

T.L.C.                It’s beautiful.

C. S.    Look closely at the beauty of Sacred Mother Earth that you see there before you.   When was the last time you saw such majesty?

T.L.C.                I don’t ever recall seeing such natural beauty.

C. S.    When I walked on Earth, I saw this scene or others of equal beauty almost every day.   Little of this majesty is left on our Earth today.

T.L.C.                Sad, but true.

C. S.    I have an old message that needs to be made new.   In your book will you please renew my plea for sanity.

T.L.C.                Certainly.   What is your message?

C. S.    “Whatever befalls the Earth, befalls the people on the Earth.   Man did not weave the web of life.   He is merely a strand in it.   Whatever he does to the web he does to himself.”

T.L.C.                I would be honored to again deliver that message.   Perhaps you might add a bit of explanation as to what your words mean.

C. S.    Yes, I would.

T.L.C.                Then, I’ll pass your words of explanation along also.

C. S.    You need to see your world beyond your present, single, Earthly lifetime.   Earth is not a way station for travelers to a distant place called heaven.   Neither are any of you simply intelligent dust destined to cease to be upon the death of your physical body.   You and I and Sacred Mother Earth, and every living being on the planet, are all one unified being.   We are each beings whose primary state is pure consciousness.   That collective consciousness transcends space and transcends time.

         In the web of beingness, everything is connected to everything else.   Everything IS everything else.   “You have all heard the words “As you sow, so shall you reap.”   How many of you listened when you heard those words?   Do you think the Master speaks folly?   Do you think the master lies?

         One cannot alter even a single strand in the web of life without altering the entire web.   What you do to each other, you do to yourselves.

           You can run from your deeds, but you cannot hide.   You can kill your body but you cannot die.   You can check out of your mind and live as a sheep, but you cannot leave.   You can deny your creative abilities, but you cannot stop creating.   You can give away your power but you cannot give away your responsibility.

         Daily you rape your own mother!   Do you really believe there are no consequences to such actions?   Whatever you do to the web of life, whatever you do to your Sacred Mother Earth, you do to yourselves.   If you choose to continue sleepwalking, one day soon you shall wake up to find that you have been evicted from what’s left of the Garden.

T.L.C.                Thank you.   I am honored to be in your presence, and I shall share your words with my fellow Earth dwellers; however, I’m concerned that very few people will actually pay any attention.

C. S.    Do not be concerned with who listens and who doesn’t.   Simply continue to speak the truth.   He who has eyes, will see.   He, who has ears, will hear.   All will reap as they sow.

         May I give you a gift as a token of my appreciation?

T.L.C.                Yes, Please.

Chief Seattle moved to stand directly in front of me.   He was only slightly taller than I, but the power and stature of his presence was immense.   He placed his right hand on my chest and asked me to do the same to him, which I did.   He then placed his left hand over my right hand and bid me to do likewise to him, which I also did.

C. S.    Now let us flow together as one unified being.   Allow yourself to flow into me through your right arm and take me into your heart through my right arm.

As soon as the energy began to flow, I felt myself getting bigger.   Soon, I was as big as the redwood trees and growing rapidly.   In what seemed like ten seconds, I was as big as the whole valley.

What I next experienced was beyond words.   In what felt like an explosion, I instantaneously became the consciousness of entire Earth all at once.   It was as if I were shot out of a cannon and upon exiting the end of the barrel, I exploded and became everything all at once.   There was no mind in this experience, only incredibly ecstatic joy — a level of joy that transcended by far the most intense orgasm I’d ever had.

My entire being then became a powerful glowing red ball of light.   The next thing I remember, I was sitting on the ground leaning against a rock across from Big D.   The crystal was gone and I was completely present in my physical body.

Big D     Welcome back.

T.L.C.                Wow, what a rush! 

Big D     Are you OK?

T.L.C.                Oh, I’m far better than that.   How’d you do that?

“He” Just laughed.  

Big D     Perks.   Every role has it’s perks.   That type of experience just comes with the job.   I could use another good agent, if you’re interested.

T.L.C.                No thank you.   Wow!   Give me a few minutes to recover from that experience.

Big D     Stoney, in that regard, I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news.   Which do you want to hear first?

T.L.C.                The bad news.

Big D     You’ll never recover from that experience.

T.L.C.                The good news.

Big D     You’ll never recover from that experience, and you won’t ever want to.

T.L.C.                Another of your two-sided, one-sided coins.

Big D     Another fact of life.

The New Possibilities

T.L.C.                What will my book of our conversations do to the anti-abortion promoters?

Big D     They have proclaimed for themselves a prominent place in your society.   Your book, will call them to justify their claims to the respect that they now hold.

T.L.C.                Can they do that?

Big D     Oh yes.   They could actually do that quite easily.   Remember, once you scrape off the self-delusions, they, too, are very caring and loving people, they, too, are Divine Beings.   They carry the Christ light in their hearts.

T.L.C.                OK, now translate that into tangible action.   What could they do?

Big D     In every situation, all they have to do is ask Jesus:  “What would you do in this situation?”, listen in their hearts to the answer, and then follow whatever instructions have come forth.   A long list of answers is already plainly written in the Bible.[7]

T.L.C.                How about a couple of examples.

Big D     Probably the most powerful one is “Know the truth and the truth will set you free.”   They could even read your book and ask all their followers to do likewise and than have a grand re-evaluation-of-strategy party.   They could then ask God, “In light of this new information, how may we best serve the cause of love?”   “How can we bring the greatest joy and the greatest freedom to the greatest number of people with the least possible cost in terms of money, manpower, and resources?”[8]

T.L.C.                What else is there in the Bible?

Big D     Well, there’s, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” and how about, “Love your neighbor.”

         Or “Honor God”.   What do you suppose Jesus would do to the money changers in the present day television temples?

         They could even believe their own Bible, and remember Genesis 2:7.[9]

         They could pray, “Forgive me Father for I have sinned. I have denied your words in front of thousands.   How may I make amends for my transgressions?”

         They could even come up to you and say, “Thank you, Stoney.   Because of your book, I now see my loving relationship to God more clearly.”

T.L.C.                So, in terms of tangible, measurable, doable actions, exactly what could they do?

Big D     They could counsel women, and give them the full range of options.   They could be emotionally supportive, regardless of the woman’s choice.   They could follow through and see to it that those who choose to become mothers have the necessary wherewithal and support to bring up a healthy child, and they could follow through to see that the child is actually cared for the next 18 years.

T.L.C.                Follow up for 18 years?   Are you kidding?

Big D     Why would you think this a joke?   Is an 18-year commitment not what they are now forcing onto women who do not even want to become mothers?   They do preach responsibility, don’t they?

T.L.C.                Yes.

Big D     Then, perhaps it’s time they walked their talk, and accepted their share of the responsibility for the birth of another baby who, without their intervention would not have been created by God from the dust of the Earth and then given by God the breath of life.

T.L.C.                What else could they do?

Big D     They could reevaluate the teaching of Saint Augustine and see if his anti-sexual proclamations are actually valid reality or are simply the personal opinion of one antiquated man who was in a position of power and influence.   They could reevaluate those teaching and determine if the modern church wants to continue to follow Augustine’s personal proclamations.   They could look to see if there are any more realistic alternatives that would be more practical and more functional in our 21^st century society.   Then, they could choose to either keep their present ways or adopt something new.

         If they did an evaluation, and then shared that with their followers, at least the people would be aware of the energy behind their choices.   As it is now, the vast majority of followers are following as blind sheep.   They have no real idea what they are doing, or why, and they are programmed not to ask.

T.L.C.                That would take real courage on the part of a church leader.

Big D     It would!   So don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen.   But just imagine for a moment, the freedom, the joy, the energy, and the enthusiasm such an open dialog would bring to what is now a rather backward-looking bunch.   Just think how many more people would embrace the teachings of Jesus if they took the transcendental magic out of their preaching.[10]

A Second Look at the Bible

T.L.C.                So how can they take the transcendental magic out of their preaching.

Big D     By acknowledging that there is also a second way to view all of these seemingly magical happenings.   The Bible can be literal, and that is still a valid interpretation, and these same stories could also be interpreted as symbolic metaphors, as teaching stories.[11]*

T.L.C.                Blasphemy again.

Big D     Of course.   The Bible taken as a series of teaching stories, becomes a master guide book.

T.L.C.                Such a proposal would create complete divisiveness.   People would be arguing over what everything means.

Big D              So what’s new?   They’ve been doing that for centuries already.

T.L.C.             But those who control the religions are not willing to make changes.

Big D     Well, it’s change or die.   Whatever isn’t growing is busy dying.

T.L.C.                Some of them would rather die.

Big D     I know.

T.L.C.                OK, what else could they do? 

Big D     They could look at the dire consequences of forced motherhood.   They could look at the catastrophic, Earth-wrenching consequences of what they are forcing onto the rest of humanity.   That would certainly be an eye opener.[12]

Would-Be Do-Gooders

Big D              What else would you like to talk about?

T.L.C.                   Why do you call the followers of your agents Would-Be Do-Gooders?   That sounds like a derogatory put down to me.

Big D                    I’d like to think of it more like poking fun at them and shaking them into waking up.   My words are wakeup calls, and are not intended to put them or anyone else down.   The people that I call Would-Be Do-Gooders are very kind and loving, and, for the most part, wonderful people.   It’s just that, at the same time, they are sleepwalkers.   They run the sheep mind that we’ve already talked about.[13]

T.L.C.                         OK, so why do you call them Would-Be Do-Gooders?

Big D              A Would-Be Do-Gooder is someone who, without knowing it, does "Devil" in the name of "God".   In your notes, I see you’ve been writing “Would-Be.”   Actually its W-o-o-d B, wood as in tree and the single letter, B which stands for brain.   Wood-B stands for “wooden-brained,” and I say that because these people rarely ever think for themselves or question anything that my agents tell them.   They actually believe the “Revered Leaders” have somehow magically been given exclusive access to a direct phone line to God.

T.L.C.       So the “Revered Leaders” can hear God talking, but no one else can?

Big D              Yep.   That’s the story the “Revered Leaders” tell.

T.L.C.                         And so all the true believers must go to the “Revered Leader” to find out about God.

Big D              Yup.

T.L.C.                         So when a “Revered Leader” speaks, the followers believe he is giving them "God's " orders.[14]

Big D                    Yup.   Whatever he says, it’s the word of God.   Affectionately, I call these people my "Doo-Doo Doers".

T.L.C.                         Please tell me more about the “Revered Leaders”.

Big D              I choose my manipulators, particularly those with the greatest oratory skills, with special care.   Now, keep in mind that there are many great orators and many great spiritual leaders who are not in my service, so don’t think I’m talking about your favorite preacher, because, if you do, you’ll almost certainly be wrong.

T.L.C.                         So you are talking about a few among the many.

Big D              Yes.

            As you can see by the discussions we’ve already had, my work cannot stand the light of open questioning, so I must use agents who are very thoroughly programmed, who never think for themselves, and who will cast all thinkers out of the flock at the first sign of individual thought.   I've even made up a special name for the enemy.   They’re called heretics.

            As you undoubtedly know, every person in all of recorded history who brought through real light was an outcast.   Not one has yet escaped condemnation or ridicule by my agents.   Look here's the list.

At that point Big D pulled a role of paper out of his pocket.   It looked like a role of paper commonly used in adding machines and cash registers.  He held on to the end of the paper and let the role drop to the ground and role away from him.   The entire list as far as it unrolled had names written on it.   He started to read the names at the top of the list. 

Big D  How about just a few names that you might recognize.   There's Jesus, there's Copernicus, Galileo, Louis Pasteur, Albert Einstein, Leonardo Da Vinci, Joan of Arc, Joseph Smith, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, John and Robert Kennedy.   Do I need to go on?

Fairy Tales / What If We’ve Missed Something?

T.L.C.                         Thank you, no.   Earlier in our discussion, you said there was something you wanted to set the record straight on.   What was that?

Big D                    For eons now, I’ve been manipulating the naive into believing, as absolute truth, things that their minds could never possibly know for sure.

T.L.C.                         Yes. Like what?

Big D              Like "Eternity",  "Heaven",  "Hell" and "Damnation", for starters.

T.L.C.                         Would you care to explain?

Big D                    What if the anti-abortionists do not yet know, with absolute certainty, all there is to know about "God?”   What if there are still a few more minor pieces missing like the ones they missed when they burned witches and claimed that the earth was flat?

            What if the Universal Law of Allowing is true?   What if the Universal Law of Thought is true?   What if "God" is neither benevolent nor wrathful and vindictive?   What if there is simply a set of "rules" that affect everybody, even those who don't yet know about the rules — or know them, but don't believe them?[15]  

            What if UFO's turn out to be travelers from a different dimension of reality?   What if reincarnation turns out to be a true aspect of human evolution?   What if we really are God-Beings temporarily living in human bodies?

      What if "eternity" is right now and doesn't start some time in the future?   What if "eternity" is neither linear nor a whole lot of time?

            What if "heaven" is a state of mind and not a place above the clouds?   What if "hell" is a metaphor, a symbol for the fire of personal transformation and not a place beneath our feet?   What if "damnation" (a damned-nation) is a state in which my "One-Way-My-Way-Doo-Doo-Doers" control the government?

            What if God is right when He says in Genesis 2:7 that life begins at first breath?   What if Christians don’t have exclusive access to God?   What if other Christian sects and non-Christians also want freedom of religion?

            And now, imagine this for a moment.   What if sex really isn’t a sin?

            Remember, it is I who manipulate the manipulators.   I laugh to think that my manipulators are so naive as to think they’re in control.   My "Doo-Doo Doers" push for a church-controlled government.   In so doing, they get the government to deliver each and every one of you into my favorite versions of hell on earth.

            I'm sure that you’re familiar with the legend of the number of the beast — the 666.   On the last planet I played, that number was 976.   This is a rather common legend.   It explains the natural evolutionary cycle in which a vast number of different religions each claim exclusive truth about something they know nothing about.   Each group claims exclusive truth about something they refer to as "God"[16]  Each "Revered Leader" sends his "true-believers" out to convert, control, dominate, manipulate, intimidate, or kill those who believe differently.  It's guaranteed anarchy, and it works every time.

T.L.C.                   Is there another way?

Big D              Of course! Being right does not make others wrong.   Given their unique conditions, circumstances, and perspectives, everybody’s right.   It’s just that they are only partially right because they see only a piece of a very grand truth.[17]

            I have simply programmed my "true-believers" into believing that God, (The-Source-of-All-That-Is, or whatever name you choose to call that source) can fit inside of just one religion.

T.L.C.                         So are you saying they believe that God is only in their religion, and that there is no God in any other religion?

Big D              Yup! That’s it.

T.L.C.                         But, it doesn’t take much thinking to realize that God is just too big to fit inside of any single religion.

Big D              And yet the sheep mind can’t grasp such a thought.   Wouldn’t you say this is a neat little illusion?

T.L.C.                I don’t know that it’s neat, or little, but it certainly is an illusion.

Big D              Some of the Fundamentalist Christians are even labeling their fellow Christians as demonic simply because their beliefs are slightly different.[18]

New Horizons

T.L.C.                                     So what happens to God if some religious, basic beliefs are proven to be wrong?

Big D     Nothing.   The change is in human consciousness.   God already knows the whole truth.

         You must also keep in mind that the three assumptions about life are mutually exclusive, so literally billions of people are actually, at this very moment, basing their lives on beliefs that are false.[19]

T.L.C.                                     Then, what happens to Christianity and to Christians if some of the Christian, basic-beliefs are proven to be wrong?

Big D     Do you mean like if Original Sin is fiction, or that sex really is OK, or that we live more than once on Earth?

T.L.C.                Yes.

Big D     If Church leaders could humble themselves enough to say “I’m sorry, we were wrong.   Here’s our new perspective.”   It would generate the greatest revival and regeneration of Christianity that the world has ever seen.

T.L.C.                Why do you say that?

Big D     Because any time you can acknowledge a past mistake, you also get to leave it behind you and move on.   When you deny your errors and claim fantasy as truth, then you are a prisoner stuck in your own illusion.   You can go nowhere.   You are too busy defending your illusion.

T.L.C.                So with new, open-minded ideas, the Christian churches would grow and flourish?

Big D     Of course.   Churches would gain incredible respect that they now lack among millions who scoff at such things as being labeled evil simply because some long dead ancestor ate an apple.[20]

         People hear unbelievable and conflicting claims, they see people killing each other over beliefs in these claims and, so, without looking closely to see if there actually is anything of value there, they throw the entirety of religion into the trash as a fantasy of the foolish.

T.L.C.                Yes, I meet people like that all the time.   Many were brought up in very religious families, and as adults, reject the religious teachings that their parents still ardently adhere to. 

Big D     Unfortunately many of them have brought only one-half of their minds into their religion, the part that rejects absurdities.

T.L.C.                So you’re saying they reject illusion and yet don’t seek the truth.

Big D     Yes.

T.L.C.                And if they did seek the truth?

Big D     They would find it.

T.L.C.                And what is that truth?

Big D     It’s not for me to say what someone else’s truth is.   I can, however, give a few generalities.

T.L.C.                Like what?

Big D     People would start finding similarities to cooperate about rather than differences to fight about.   They’d find expanded opportunities and infinitely more possibilities.   Their truth, regardless of the form in which they found it, would be filled with, love, joy and freedom.

         Fear of God would be gone and people would care for one another out of love and not out of fear or duty.   People would live richer, fuller, more productive lives.   Compassion would move from the bottom of their list of priorities to join love and caring at the top.   When major groups of people shifted from their present focus on scarcity and on creating weapons to destroy each other to a focusing on creating abundance, the universe would respond and create so much abundance that everyone will be able to live in joyous fulfillment.

         Just imagine for a moment taking the 50% of all human resources that are presently being used for to create death and destruction and using those resources to create goods and services for the joy of all.   And that’s not even considering the value of what is now being regularly destroyed by wars and the like.

T.L.C.                What would happen to the present “Revered Leaders”?

Big D     Those with blended heart and mind would see the new ways and would go on to be respected leaders.   The others would go the way of the snake oil salesmen.

T.L.C.                So am I hearing you say that sticking to old ways does everybody a disservice?

Big D     Yes.   Let me give you another analogy.   What happens when you upgrade one of your computer programs?   Does the new program make the old program wrong.

T.L.C.                No.

Big D     What does it do?

T.L.C.                Because it is a blend on the old and the new, it makes the original program better, more functional, more useful, more accurate, and a lot easier to use.

Big D     And what would each be without the other?

T.L.C.                The new could not exist without the old and the old without the new would become stagnant and die.

Big D     And this is also true regarding religious programming.   Remember the Master’s words, “Know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

T.L.C.                Yes, I remember.

Big D     You see, Stoney, I don’t need to tell you any of this.   You already know it.

T.L.C.                I do? 

Big D     Yes, you have only to remember.

T.L.C.                Remember what?

Big D     Start by remembering who and what you are.   Again I say the Master’s words: “Seek ye first the kingdom of Heaven and all else will follow.”

Is Change Possible?

T.L.C.                Letting go of illusions sounds nice, but you’re talking about people changing beliefs they have held for years.   It’s not very realistic to think those who have spent a lifetime believing the Earth was flat can suddenly change their beliefs.

Big D     Yes, I know, so don’t expect any real changes to come from your leaders. You’ve probably heard the old saying that human consciousness changes funeral by funeral.

T.L.C.                No, I haven’t. What does that mean?

Big D     It means that human consciousness changes very slowly.   Each generation is slightly more aware than the one before it.

T.L.C.                So change comes when the old generation dies and the new generation takes over.

Big D     That’s the way it used to be, but with the exponential speed up of change and transformation on your planet, such incredibly slow changes in consciousness are no longer feasible.

T.L.C.                Why do you say that?

Big D     Well, the way you humans have been treating your global home, you now have two only choices.

T.L.C.                And those are...?

Big D     A massive changes of consciousness very soon or mass funerals very soon.   If you project present trends on several issues, such as overpopulation or rainforest destruction, any one of them, all by itself, could trigger catastrophic disaster.   You have not just one or two trends leading to disaster, you have at least a dozen.[21]

T.L.C.                So human consciousness will change by intention of the people, or it will change by default.

Big D     Yes, and that default will be global-scale catastrophes that will result in mass funerals.   It could even spell human extinction.

T.L.C.                So are you saying that your being here is another wake up call?

Big D     Yes!   You’ve been getting wakeup calls very loud and very strong for at least fifty years now.

T.L.C.                And has anyone been listening?

Big D     Many of the people are listening, but the ego-atheist, dominator-manipulators aren’t.

T.L.C.                Why not?

Big D     You have to remember the mind set of the ego-atheist, and by and large, your planet is run by ego-atheists.

T.L.C.                Why do you say that?

Big D     Just look at their behavior.   How many people are dying every day because of Earth leaders who worship The Great God Money and his three Archangels, Ego, Fame. and Power.

T.L.C.                What do you mean by the mindset of the ego-atheist?

Big D     Self-interest is prima Dona.   Nothing matters but what they want.   Nobody matters but themselves.   Everyone else is expendable.   The Earth is simply something to be used.   Just look at the chart I gave you last time we met.[22]
